President Letter

Thank you for taking the time to learn more about the Junior League of Anderson County (JLAC). If you are interested in learning more about how to become a member or would like to support our mission, we would love the opportunity to connect with you.

We are an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving communities through the effective action, collaboration, and leadership of trained volunteers.
We are guided by our mission and purpose to serve the needs of the community and our internal drive to build women into activated community leaders.

The year has just begun, and we are already hard at implementing our new 2022-2025 Strategic Plan, which focuses on four areas:

  • Member Engagement
  • League Growth and Brand Stability
  • Community Engagement
  • Organization and Financial Structure

I am eager to grow an engaged and informed membership while ensuring a diverse culture with transparent communications, messaging, and branding. I am also very excited to kit off JLAC first ever data and donor management system. This will ensure we can have both organizational structure, financial integrity, and stability. Both are vital to the strength and longevity of our league.

We are committed to making a difference! We are unique because we are 100% volunteer-based, powered by volunteers, and supported by our charitable donors and fundraisers. Your funds help us do more for those who call Anderson home. We are entering a two-year partnership with Calvary Home for Children and AIM, specifically the Women and Children Succeeding program. The Junior League of Anderson County will continue to partner with the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office to help promote child safety in Anderson County, South Carolina. The “Seats for Safety” assistance program will allow sheriff’s deputies to intervene in unsafe situations and aid families in need by providing appropriate car seats for unrestrained children.

I am honored to be the President of Junior League of Anderson County President in its 87th year. I cannot wait to connect our past with our future, our incredible volunteers with our community, the fantastic training opportunities with our members, and most importantly, I cannot wait to connect with each of you.

Very sincerely,
Kelly Boerner
2022-2023 President
