About

We are the Junior League of Anderson County

Above all else, our goal is to promote and perpetuate social change in the Anderson communities that will benefit most from it. By empowering women and providing valuable leadership training, we are giving local women the tools to get involved, put their talents to work, and positively impact the communities of South Carolina.

Strength in Numbers

As one of hundreds of Junior League chapters across the world, we are a member of the Association of Junior Leagues International, Inc. (AJLI). Established in 1935 as the Anderson Junior Assembly and then later became the Junior League of Anderson County, commonly referred to by members as JLAC. The Junior League of Anderson County plays an integral part in the development, improvement, and support of the communities of Anderson.

Our Local Impact

Right now, our primary focus is to increase focus on outreach and community involvement requires immediate action, and our multi-faceted approach is making an impact. In 2022-2023 we plan to formalize a new strategic partnership structure with Calvary Home for Children and Women and Children Succeeding program by AIM as well as continuing our signature Seats for Safety Program in partnership with Anderson County Sheriff’s Office. This shift to a strategic partnership alliance will enable members of JLAC to make a stronger connection with the community while making a more substantial and lasting effect on the community we serve. If you’re interested in learning more about our current focus or developing your own civic leadership skills, we welcome you to learn more or connect with us.

Our amazing volunteers of Junior League of Anderson County work each League year diligently through voluntarism and fundraising to positively impact women and children in Anderson County. Each year we recruit and train a new class of volunteers, hold community-wide events, and donate time and funds to make a difference in our community.

We are volunteers. We have families, careers, and lives in addition to our time and efforts spent with the Junior League. Our passion for service fuels our desire to build a better community for the future. We would love to have you join us and see what the Junior League of Anderson County is all about!
